Because banana makes the perfect smoothie base, and peanut butter is full of protein. For any type of protein smoothie needs–post-workout, breakfast, snack or dessert–banana and peanut butter add both taste and nutrition to smoothies!

Clean Eating Snack – Cherry Banana Peanut Butter Smoothie Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1/2 banana, sliced
  • 1/2 cup of fresh Bing cherries, de-cored and halved
  • 1 cup of Vanilla Greek frozen yogurt
  • 1 table spoon of all-natural peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup of ice
  • 1 cup of organic unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 tea spoon of organic dark chocolate syrup (or melted)

Instructions

  1. Add all ingredients in a high-speed, high-powered blender.
  2. Blend til' smooth.

Notes

For blender, I use Vitamix 6300, and it is simply AWESOME! It has a powerful motor that runs at amazing horse power, and is able to blend anything into tasty, smooth consistency. It also has three pre-programmed settings--one of them for smoothies--and allows you to hit a button and leave until smoothie is done.The Vitamix 6300 blender is one of the best investments I've made. I love it, and highly recommend it!
