Clean Eating Snack Idea – Goat Cheese and Almonds Stuffed in Peach Halves
Today’s clean eating recipe is one of my favorite clean eating snacks so far.
They’re sweet, tender and juicy. Though a citrus fruit, they don’t taste as acidic as some of the others, and can be enjoyed alone. However, they are also great as a part a dish.
Right now, in the summer, peaches are the ripest–and I’m certainly taking advantage of that.
Love goat cheese too!
It’s a clean eating must.
First of all, goat cheese is low in calories–around 76 calories and 6 grams of fat per ounce. (Cream cheese is around 100 calories and 10 grams of fat per ounce.)
Also, goat cheese’s chemical makeup is easy on the human digestive system. If you can’t stomach cheesy foods, goat cheese makes a great substitute.
It’s also a good source of calcium, protein and various vitamins.
Most of all, though…
…goat cheese tastes awesome! I put it on just about anything: sandwiches, pizzas, salads…you name it.
And today’s peach-y snack is a great way to add goat cheese too.
I hope you enjoy the recipe below. And if you want to print it for keeps, just scroll down to the ready-made recipe card, and hit “print.”
